Welcome to "Fleet Wars."  This is a working title, and the name will be released once more of the content is completed and game play working.

Here's what I can tell you at this point...

"Fleet Wars" is a mission based (campaign and community created) space dogfight simulator.  This means that predefined goals, triggers, objectives, are placed into a map (or series of maps) and the player completes said goals through dog fighting and by other means.

Some mission types that I've already began working out are: escort, annihilation, recon, scientific, and survival.  I want the system to be as open ended as possible for other mission and story creators.

There will be a campaign mode, which will be a story distributed with the game that players can play through.  This will hopefully contain a compelling story that will entertain you.  Like I mentioned before, there will be a community mission mode as well.  This will consist of the player downloading a mission pack, copying it to their missions folder, and playing them.  There will be a mission editor and a ship editor eventually released to support this.

I will have more updates as the game progresses.  I am making wonderful progress, and I appreciate all the support that I have received so far.

Here are a few screenshots from today's build.  Mainly showcasing some new models in progress:

One of the main faction's city/pilot training stations.  The player will begin here doing menial tasks as a new recruit.  Your home away from home.

This is one of the main faction's smaller deep space capitol ships.   It holds a compliment of 2 fighter squadrons, and is reasonable in battle.
